This is a directory of businesses and markets who offer eco friendly/zero waste options. If your business would like to be added, or if you know of any other links which should be added, please contact the page. (Please note that this is a work in progress so will be added to over time).

Naas Farmer's Market - every Saturday at Naas Racecourse
Rathcoffey Zero Waste Community Garden have a Cottage Market, check their Facebook Page for details.
Solas Eco Garden Portarlington have a Farmer's Market.
Grangecon Store Cupboard - packaging free loose products available, bring your own containers. (See page for full range and price list).
Cooperative market based in the Moat Theatre in Naas every Friday from 9.30-12.30. Home produce, free range eggs, confectionary, jams and vegetables in season.
Online markets:
Kildare Neighbourfood Market - this is based in Kildare town and food and products can be ordered online and picked up at specified times in Kildare.
Local Food Hub Newbridge - products can be ordered online and picked up from Newbridge, included zero waste options.
Farms:
Cullen's Farm, Ballysax - provides seasonal veg and eggs at the farm gate.
Moyleabbey Organic Farm - organic veg and fruit which can be obtained from the farm (close to Crookstown).
Cafés:
Grangecon Kitchen - will accept reusable cups and refill water bottles and are also happy to refill your own containers.
River Café Kilcullen - will accept reusable cups and will double stamp loyalty cards for anyone who brings their own cup. Takeaway cups and lids are biodegradable and they have been working to reduce all plastic except for smoothie cups which will be changed soon.
Kalbarri Cookery School use compostable cups and biodegradable cake boxes and all incoming boxes are returned for recycling. They also have compost and recycling bins on site.
Little Brew Café in both Kilcullen and Dunlavin are happy to accept reusable cups. They also stock vegan food options.
Zero Waste Stores:
Refillz Naas are a zero waste store where you can bring your own containers for refilling and reduce packaging waste.
Unpacked Kildare are another zero waste store where you can bring your own containers and buy eco friendly goods. There will be a click and collect/local delivery service with deliveries via electric car to reduce emissions.
Circular Economy:
Roza's Alterations, New Abbey Road, Kilcullen. Open 10-6 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 10-3 p.m. Saturday. Phone 0892607454 for information/appointment.

Gifts and other Eco Friendly Products:
Faerly - founded by Kilcullen residents James and Eoin, Faerly offers eco friendly gifts as well as lots of zero waste practical items for the home.
Baressential Soap and skincare supplier based in Athy. You can buy their products online and they are also stocked in many outlets around Kildare and nationwide. They are committed to offering products that are skin and planet friendly and use only natural ingredients in their skin care range and recycled and recyclable materials in their packaging.
Larkfield Pellet Products are situated very close to Kilcullen and have a range of natural products such as cat litter, bird food and garden fertilisers which are all made on site by a process of turning waste into pellets. They are also happy to refill buckets which reduces plastic waste.
Miscellaneous:
Kildare PPN have put together a map of charity shops in Kildare which you can find here - Kildare Charity Shops Map. Buying from charity shops is a great way to reuse, you can find some brilliant bargains and extend the life of things that would otherwise probably be thrown away.
